【治療方法】
早期がんであれば、放射線療法、ファイバースコープを用いてのレーザー手術、喉頭を切開しての声帯切除などで、がんだけを消滅させる治療が行われます。やや進行したガンの場合は、放射線療法が喉頭半分だけ切除する処置が行われます。喉頭半分筋をしても、喉頭の機能は半分以上残り、健康な人と同じように呼吸ができますし、声は悪くなるにしても、会話もできます。しかし喉頭半分残すと再発の不安がある場合は、喉頭全部を摘出しなければなりません。
